Differences from Fjárvís

Under Accounts and settings → your farm you will find the card Differences from Fjárvís. It opens a page that compares what LAMB holds for the farm with what Fjárvís holds — in both directions — and lists what does not match, with a reason on every line.

The comparison runs every night for farms with a LAMB account. The top of the page says which night it is from and when the farm was last synced. "Nothing out of step" therefore means nothing out of step last night — not "never checked".

Three tabs

Tab What is there What you do
In the app, not in Fjárvís Records made in LAMB — weighings, births, matings, pregnancy scans, reserved ear tags, animal edits — that never reached Fjárvís: never sent, refused by Fjárvís, or Fjárvís has deleted the row the app points at. Open the register (Open register) and send, fix, or leave it. You decide.
Both, but different The same record on both sides with a different value: weight, date, number of lambs, ram … Shown as the LAMB value → the Fjárvís value. An animal the app shows alive while Fjárvís has a death date lands here too. Check which is right. Fjárvís rounds weights to whole kilos — half a kilo either way is not counted as a difference.
In Fjárvís, not in the app Records Fjárvís has that the app does not, although the farm was synced after they were made. Sync the farm. If they still do not come in, tell us — that is a fault on our side.

"Awaiting sync"

Records written or changed in Fjárvís after the last sync are not listed — they have one answer, Sync now, and a list of 500 weighings from the autumn round-up would bury the handful of things a sync does not fix. Their number sits in the yellow banner at the top, split by type.

How records are matched

  • Weighings, matings and scans: on the Fjárvís record number, which the app stores when it fetches or sends.
  • Births: ewe + lambing date (± 1 day), since the app has no Fjárvís number for a birth.
  • Reserved ear tags: on the digits of the tag.
  • Animals: on the animal number. An animal Fjárvís lists on another farm is reported as on another farm, not as missing.

Dead animals are not compared record by record — the app only fetches live animals from Fjárvís, so an old record on a dead animal is by design, not a discrepancy.

What it does not do

The page fixes nothing by itself. It points; you decide. Sending and resending live where they always did (see Weight registration, Birth registration, Reserve tags).
