Getting started with LAMB¶
How a new user signs up and downloads the LAMB app to their phone.
This is a draft — not a finished guide
The steps below follow the flow that is live today in Iceland (site.lambehf.com), adapted for LAMB DK.
dk.lambehf.com isn't live yet, the sign-up page currently relies on the Icelandic kennitala (national ID) and a
Payday subscription check, neither of which applies in Denmark, and the app is only distributed as a direct APK
download. The Danish beta is planned for December 2026. This page is being reviewed with the team before it's
used externally.
1. Create an account on the website¶
Go to the LAMB DK website and choose "Create account". There are two paths:
- Free 14-day trial — for new users who want to try LAMB before committing
- Already have a LAMB subscription — for existing paying subscribers
You'll fill in: full name, email, password, and an identification number. If you choose the trial, you'll also add phone, contact person, and address.
Open question
In Iceland, the identification number is the kennitala, which automatically looks up name and address. Denmark has no direct equivalent — a holding's CVR number isn't the same as a personal ID. This needs to be decided before the DK site goes live — see Open items below.
2. Confirm your email¶
LAMB sends a confirmation email to the address you entered. Click the link in the email to confirm it — this also automatically activates the 14-day trial, if that option was chosen.
Tip
If the email doesn't arrive within a few minutes, check the spam folder.
3. Download the LAMB app to your phone¶
LAMB isn't (yet) on the App Store or Google Play — the app is downloaded directly as an APK file from the website. Tap the "Download APK" button on the download page; the file downloads to your phone.
Important
Because the app doesn't come from the Play Store, Android will ask for permission to "install apps from unknown sources" — this needs to be enabled manually (Settings → Security). This is normal and safe — the APK file is signed by LAMB ehf. Currently Android-only; iOS isn't supported yet.
4. Install the app¶
Open the downloaded file and tap "Install". Once installed, LAMB DK appears on the home screen.
5. Log in for the first time¶
Open the app and log in with the same email and password used when creating the account on the website. You'll land straight on the farm's dashboard.
Open items for DK¶
To resolve before this goes out to farmers:
- What replaces the kennitala for DK sign-up? (CVR number? No ID number at all?)
-
dk.lambehf.comneeds its own sign-up and download page — currently 404 - Payment method for post-trial subscriptions — pending approval from Kling
- Full Danish translations of the sign-up flow
- Will DK also offer a free 14-day trial, or a different setup for the first 10–20 beta farms via AgroTag?
Draft for team review. Based on lambsite/src/pages/StofnaAdgang.tsx and Saekja.tsx.
